Australian Gold Kangaroo
The Australian gold nugget coins were first released in 1986. The original coins were issued with Queen Elizabeth the II and a gold nugget but from 1989 on it has had a different depiction of the kangaroo on its reverse every year. These 24 karat coins come is $100, $50, $20, $10 and $5 denominations, weighing, respectively, 1 oz, 1/2 oz., 1/4 oz. 1/10 oz., and 1/20 ounce. Like all bullion coins, these coins are sold for the price of gold contained plus a small premium to cover the cost of manufacturing, marketing, and distribution.
